I just completed an 8 day, 800 mile trip using the Cartmann Clip-On Towing mirrors on a 2016 Subaru Forester. The towing mirrors remained firmly attached through the entire trip and provided a clear view of cars behind a small camper trailer. The mirrors have a lanyard to catch them if they fall off, which provides peace of mind but was not needed. They only need a couple of minutes to install after the straps are set to the correct length and you know what you are doing.The mirrors have two different methods of attachment: thumbscrews to attach to the top of the existing mirror housing and straps to wrap around the back of the housing and attach to the bottom of the housing. I checked and slightly tightened the thumbscrews when I stopped for gas. I crossed the straps behind the housing. Thread the free end of the strap back though the bottom clip so that it does not bang on the mirror.
